Moonblood

The revised, and continued, Moonblood stories are being released as a serial, at prysmcat.com/moonblood. New content will be added Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

An ongoing wander through another world

Five moons rise over Evanir, each in their own cycle, and each moon is also a goddess, one of five sisters. From the largest and oldest, through the smallest and youngest, they are: Talir, who is pale topaz; Meyar, who is bright blue-white; Sanur, who is the green-gold of a cat’s eyes; Sahen, who is pale green-blue aquamarine; and Lirit who is the light purple of wild lilacs.

Long ago, they worked together to create a race that was not born but transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The goddesses had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, to keep them more in tune with nature, so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness.

But, as always, it takes only one person to alter the tone of an entire group and twist it into a new direction… and it takes only one person to rebel, and start something entirely new…
